“Finding words where words were absent before and, as a result, being able to share your deepest pain and deepest feelings with another human being… This is one of the most profound experiences we can have, and such resonance, in which hitherto unspoken words can be discovered, uttered, and received, is fundamental to healing the isolation of trauma—especially if other people in our lives have ignored or silenced us. Communicating fully is the opposite of being traumatized.” Gabor Mate

At Summit Mental Health, our approach is holistic and client-centered, focusing on creating a safe space where you can process the past, navigate the present, and find hope for the future. Counseling can feel overwhelming to begin and challenging along the way, but during the journey, we learn more about ourselves and gain new perspectives. We are committed to helping clients discover a greater understanding of the power that our mindset has in our lives.

We desire to help you navigate life’s obstacles, heal from various traumas, and build a brighter, more resilient future. We understand that the journey to mental health can be daunting, but we are

here to guide you.

Carrie Colvard, our lead therapist and founder, is LPC-certified and licensed by the state of Oklahoma. She believes in providing an environment where each individual feels empowered to build mental strength and perseverance so that when you are faced with the next mountain, you feel equipped with effective tools and clarity from a renewed mindset and insight into yourself.

Whether you are struggling with unhealed trauma, current stress, anxiety, depression, loss, divorce, or unexpected changes in this season of life, therapy can be a helpful part of the healing process.
